- What type of music if any would you like to hear in a gallery?
- Would a late night opening apeal, and if so which night?
- How much would you like the staff to interact with you?
- What type of artwork interests you, and what kind of work have you previously bought?
- Would you like a gallery to be a place you can interact and have creative discussions in? Somewhere you can stay for a while and never feel pushed out?

1. Yes. Like - Everybody there knew the product the process and generally it is the actual artists. Didn't like - Very different quality some VERY good some VERY poor. You quite know what you are walking into.

4. I'm cheep. Can't afford the originals. Good quality prints!!

6. Yes. Depends where and why. You could make an event out of it. Probably Thursday to Sunday

8. Clean, crisp and thoughtful. Only direct art previously purchased was from you. Rest has been prints from shops
9. Yes.
10. A gallery should change every month. I have found in the past visiting the same place twice can mean seeing the same things twice.

ReplyDelete1 - i liked the friendliness and cosiness of the places. i liked the accessability - i didnt feel awkward and out of place like i sometimes o in posh places. i like the excitement of stumbling across some amazing art.
ReplyDeletei didnt like - the feeling that it was noticeable i wasnt buying anything!
2 - yeah can think of a few with cafes - makes for a lovely relaxed feel and gives a good reason to hang around without feeling pressure to buy.
3- yip - Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh
4 - if i had more money!
5 - accoustic folk stuff - songs with stories and inspirational stuff preferably live with musicians sharing the stories (but thats just my taste)
6- yeah - wed or fri
7- friendly - but not too in your face. always like to feel like im part of a place - that its a supportive community - could have good online networks and members evenings etc.
8- pretty much anything!! love art with a story or meaning
9 - yes
10 - i think you could make a go of this :)
